Sandcastle Rascals Returns Policy
This Returns Policy applies only to products purchased directly from sandcastlerascals.com.
For items purchased from third-party retailers, please contact the original place of purchase.
The Sandcastle Rascals returns team operates Monday to Friday from Melbourne, Australia.
To start a return, please lodge your request via our returns portal
Please note:
- Returns and exchanges cannot be made in person
- Items purchased during promotional or seasonal sales are final sale and are not eligible for return, refund or exchange
- Items purchased in person at warehouse sales are final sale and are not eligible for return, refund or exchange
SWIMWEAR & HYGIENE POLICY
Due to health and hygiene regulations, swimwear cannot be returned or exchanged where:
- The item has been worn or washed
- The hygiene seal has been removed, damaged or tampered with
We recommend trying swimwear over underwear before removing any tags or hygiene seals to ensure fit.
FAULTY ITEMS, REPLACEMENT, REFUND OR REPAIR
Sandcastle Rascals takes pride in the quality of its products and complies fully with the Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure
- A repair or replacement if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure
To make a claim for a faulty item:
- The product must be returned in accordance with this Returns Policy
- A valid proof of purchase is required
Where an item is deemed faulty, Sandcastle Rascals will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
SWIMWEAR FAULTS & ORDER ERRORS
We will accept returns or exchanges for swimwear if the item:
- Has a manufacturing fault
- Is incorrect or not as described (wrong item, size or colour supplied)
To qualify:
- The swimwear must be unworn, unwashed and in original condition
- All tags and hygiene seals must be intact
- Proof of purchase is required
- You must contact our customer care team within 30 days of receiving your order for approval before returning the item
CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS (CASUAL & EVERYDAY WEAR)
For casual and everyday apparel, we are happy to offer a refund for change-of-mind purchases provided the item:
- Is in saleable condition
- Is unworn, unwashed and undamaged
- Has all original tags and labels attached
- Is returned within 30 days of purchase
- Is accompanied by valid proof of purchase
Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used at checkout.
Please note:
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- Return shipping must be prepaid and sent via a traceable method
- Items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by Sandcastle Rascals
- We are not responsible for items returned in error
RETURNS PROCESSING
All approved returns lodged through our returns portal will incur return postage at standard Sandcastle Rascals rates unless the item is deemed faulty.
We do not currently offer direct exchanges. Where eligible, returns will be processed as a refund or store credit in line with this policy.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
A major failure refers to a serious issue with a product that would have stopped a reasonable customer from purchasing it if they had known about the problem, or that makes the product unsafe or unfit for its intended purpose.
Minor issues that can be fixed within a reasonable time are generally not considered major failures.
